- Category: About ICUS
The International Contrast Ultrasound Society (ICUS) grew from a grassroots group of concerned physicians in 2008 into the world’s only multi-disciplinary medical society exclusively focused on the safe and appropriate use of contrast enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) imaging to improve patient outcomes and experiences.
ICUS members now include physicians, scientists, and other ultrasound imaging professionals in 58 countries, representing cardiology, radiology, vascular imaging, gastro-intestinal imaging, oncology, OB-GYN, hepatology and other medical subspecialties. The ICUS Executive Board and its membership roster include the world’s most respected experts and opinion leaders in the CEUS field.
Today, ICUS is at the forefront of CEUS education, advocacy and communications. With a unique grassroots focus on the best interests of patients, ICUS provides comprehensive, scientifically-grounded information about CEUS to key government agencies, payors, health care providers, the media and the public.
